Andrea is a Visiting Midwifery Educator at Fernandez with extensive experience spanning 16 years in the field. She completed RGN Adult Nursing from South Bank University and a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery from Kings College University. During her career, Andrea worked as a senior midwife and adult nurse at Homerton NHS Trust, London, for 15 years and as a midwifery lecturer teaching midwifery skills and philosophy at City of London University. As a trained practice supervisor and assessor, Andrea has worked towards enhancing the standard of care through assessing, supporting, and coaching students. In clinical midwifery practice, her expertise lies in antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and maternity HDU care, both in hospitals and community settings.
